New Zealand, about 1,250 mi (2,012 km) southeast of Australia, consists of two main islands and a number of smaller outlying islands so scattered that they range from the tropical to the Antarctic. There are 16 regions in New Zealand.

LIFE IN NEW ZEALAND

New Zealand is a beautiful and sparsely populated multicultural nation with a population of approximately 3.5 million people. Most New Zealanders are of British or European descent, with approximately 18% of the population having Maori or Pacific Island origins. New Zealand has two official languages English and Maori. In New Zealand the tourist and recreational areas are often only one or two hours’ drive from major cities and can be accessed without great expense. New Zealand enjoys temperate climate which is moderated by the seas surrounding it. This excellent climate encourages all sports of outdoor sports and activities. Most visitors find New Zealanders friendly, easygoing people who are interested in meeting those from other cultures and in traveling overseas.

And if you gain a qualification from a New Zealand university or polytechnic you will have a higher chance of getting work here. Many New Zealand qualifications are internationally recognized, so you’ll have opportunities for excellent jobs worldwide All NZ universities are government owned. Eight universities offer degree and PG. The 20 ITPs (Institute of Technology and Polytechnics) also provide highquality, relevant and innovative vocational and applied education and research, delivered in cooperation with our society and the wider education community.     EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

    Every international student who wants to study abroad in New Zealand is granted a student visa, are eligible to work up to 20 hours per week during term time, and even full time during vacations. International students, who have graduated from a course in New Zealand that would gain points under the Skilled Migrant Category, may apply for a six months open work permit.
